Preston Court Wedding, Kent, Alexina and Dan

Its been quite a while since this Preston Court wedding in Kent happened in the summer 2016 but I have never had enough time to show it to the public, except few eye catching snaps which unfortunately don’t do the justice. Today I realised that this MUST happen before the summer starts again as otherwise it would feel like loosing a passport or a purse with a winning lottery ticket!

Weddings like this don’t happen every week, those beautiful venues, gorgeous couples and wedding dresses taking your breath away, literally. I was travelling over couple of days to this wedding with an amazing and inspiring friend who kindly invited me to shoot alongside her and I am absolutely grateful, to the moon and back for this amazing opportunity. Aga Tomaszek you are a star and true inspiration (I know I already mentioned that one sentence ago but to be honest this is how strongly I feel about  how you stimulate my creative flow).

We arrived early morning in this truly romantic Albion House Ramsgate hotel to photograph bride and groom’s preparation. The whole place was hired for this purpose including the beautiful dining area where staying guests and family had their energising breakfast (and few drinks!!) before the big, long day.

After that off to the venue for the outdoor ceremony and reception. This is when my jaw dropped and literally stayed like this for the whole day!! I have never been to such amazing venue. Idyllic place with beautiful Kent village scenery, intensified with an adult carousel, a stream running through it and a carless peacock walking around like it owned the place. The whole venue seems totally unreal. It was like a dream that you don’t want to wake up from!

It was also my very first time when I experienced an outdoor ceremony. I hope the photos below will encourage my future, summer brides to consider this as an option for their weddings as the light was nothing but stunning!! (what a difference to a dark church!). I don’t even mention this beautiful iron pagoda where the vows happened and its location on an island, with guests sitting on the other side of the stream, just like we could only watch in american movies.

We move on to the main barn for the reception and there we have another WOW factor! An old barn from 17th century featuring an enchanting design and decorated like in a fairy tale, making this venue feel so traditional and quirky in the same time.

I didn’t intent to write about the venue for so long but I guess I am still under a huge impression of this magic place. I hope to be back to shoot there another wonderful wedding in near future.

I hope I will come across some wonderful couples who would like to share with me their most precious and intimate moments again.

I hope I see again a groom crying his eyes out when giving the most moving speech I have ever heard.

I hope I wont be able to see anything through the viewfinder again as tears will be bursting out of them.

I hope I see as much positive emotions and genuine family and friends connections again, those emotions that inspire you to just run back home and give your kids and husband the biggest, warmest hugs and kisses and make them feel loved. I really hope…

Thank you Alexina, Dan and Aga for making me to be part of this unforgettable day.

xx
