This Norwegian Welsah wedding of Kamilla and Richard happened last summer during a beautiful outdoor ceremony right on the top of the highest coast.
It was a humanist wedding with handmade driftwood altar decorated with beautiful summer flowers.
Kamilla was getting ready in a lovely, boutique hotel in the town center where she stayed with her whole family coming all the way down from Norway. I loved seeing her closest female members of the family wearing a traditional Norwegian dress prepared especially for this occasion. I
t was definitely something totally new to me and I was stroke by the beauty and colors of it which made an amazing contrast with the cloudless sky in the first half of the day.
It was also amazing to see how nearly everybody was involved in wedding preparation which was very relaxed and stressless – at least from my perspective.
However, I cant undermine the whole amount or a very hard work they put in the preparation although they all seemed they have a total control over it which was very catching.
Kamilla and Richard exchanged the vows on the top of the hill, surrounded by closest friends and family.
They moved on to the sailcloth marquee set up at the back of the house by lovely Grant Williams form Inspired Event Structures who traveled all the way from York for this wedding.
What I loved the most about this wedding was the mixture of cultures and watching people interacting and mingling in their own style. Two families becoming one, the influence of their very own customs and borderless love and laughter which proves that it dopant matter where you are – if you are surrounded by amazing people you feel like home anywhere.
Kamilla and Richard thank you so much for having me there and letting me capture your love and witness so many dear moments. Camilla, thank you for letting my try your traditional Norwegian wedding cake, it was delicious and I regret I didn’t take a doggie bag home. 🙂
I always feel very privileged when I can document your story, the story that your live together. A story for you, and your children to cherish for life.
