Preston Court Boho Wedding – Alexina and Dan
Its been nearly two years since I went along with a friend photographer, Aga Tomaszek to shoot this amazing wedding. I never had my head around to post some highlights from the day and as some of you may know running your business its not only about blogging. However, this was always at the back of my mind to finally post few photos of this Preston Court Boho Wedding of Alexina and Dan.
Venue
Preston Court is an enchanted venue set in a private estate in Kent and it truly is one of the most amazing places I have ever photographed in. It has many eclectic features including 17th-century barnyard, carousel ride, and steam engines. Weddings can happen in and outdoors and the venue is very well organized to change things very quickly if the weather plays up.
The surrounding areas look like some kind of enchanted gardens. With peacocks strolling around the guests as if they owned it and wonderful backdrops for the photo shoot and guests to fully enjoy the space. This venue happened to be listed on Bridal Musings blog as one of the 10 Best Barns in the World! (you need to check that blog – it’s awesome!!)
Needless to say that one day I would love to go back there to shoot my own client’s wedding.
The Gifts
One of the parts of the day which made me literally shiver was the gift the bride received from the groom during the morning preparation. It wasn’t only romantic and original but shown so much effort Dan has put in it that left us all truly astounded. A beautifully finished diary titled “letters to my wife” with records of their love story from the beginning. It’s was this kind of the moment when brides should not wear their make up for sure. The tears run on Alexina’s face like mad. All bridesmaids opened their mouth and felt totally blown away by this most romantic gift anyone has ever seen. Do you think that’s all?? You are wrong. Find the photo proof below to see the “attachment” to the diary. A frame including three watches labeled “times of our lives” with the most important dates of the couple’s life. First Date, Proposal, and the Wedding. Now, who is up for a competition to find a better gift? Let me know if you have something as creative and let me document it for you. Let’s all make a story of your lives as amazing and unique as can be.
Carousel
I have already mentioned this above, that the venue on top of the amazing eclectic decor and beautiful garden has their own carousel with horses swinging up and down like from the times when you were only a little girl sat on their back and pinching a pink wool candy with your sticky fingers. It literally takes you back to the childhood. Especially the guests after few drinks. They feel no fear of this “time machine” and just want to have fun. Are you still wondering what is the best wedding entertainment? Organise a carousel or book your Preston Court wedding.
I cant add anything more than just my massive thank you to all who let me be there and witness this stunning wedding. Starting from Aga Tomaszek who took me along for this adventure as her second shooter and a company. Up through the couple who let me in their lives for a day. Lastly to amazing guests and all the forces that favored me to be able to experience it. My immense THANK YOU!
