Treflyone Manor Same-Sex marriage of Amy and Rebecca.
WOW!! WHAT A DAY THAT WAS!! The whole Treflyone Manor was bursting with love and laughter!
Amy and Becks, your day was nothing but a one, big blast! I truly cannot remember when I laughed so hard during the editing process.
This wedding came as a big surprise from a photographer friend only a week before it happened. I normally like having a little heads up in terms of the dates etc so I was at first a little anxious that I didn’t manage to meet the couple earlier and go through the whole preparation together as this is what normally brings us a little closer. We had to quickly organize a meeting though and as soon as I met them (and their wonderful dog Alfie who sniffed around every corner of my house) I realized that there is absolutely no chance I won’t have a fun with these girls!
Becky and Amy were getting ready at the venue, Treflyone Manor in West Wales, near Tenby. I have to say this is my favorite part of the country so everything, including the journey, was a real pleasure.
I arrived to photograph the preparation in the morning and how exciting that was! The girls were getting ready in rooms next to each other. The excitement was even better, not trying to see each other before the ceremony was a big challenge. Knowing there is your loved one just next door, how strong one must be for not trying to pop in for a kiss and a hug?
Both brides had an amazing preparation time. Surrounded by their beautiful bridesmaids who were really helpful not only by providing their help to the brides but more helpful to me providing few tears after receiving their beautiful gifts.
We moved on to the ceremony room shortly before 1pm, few minutes before the ceremony started. Amy was already there waiting to see her wife to be who entered the room slightly nervous but with beaming smile on her face.
You could tell these two were made for each other, you could see this is their eyes….something that is difficult to describe but is just felt.
Traditionally after the beautiful ceremony and few tears, everybody moved on to the patio area for chit chats, congratulations and canapés. We took some photos of guests, of them mingling and back in to the venue for the wedding breakfast and speeches.
I must admit here, the speeches can be a bit dragging sometimes but here this wasn’t the case at all. I have to say I find it very uncomfortable to lie on the floor from laughter and shoot photos! It should be forbidden to have such funny guests and expect the photos in focus! Wow! What an events that was!!
Dance floor was covered constantly. I don’t remember the band trying to encourage people to dance. I have a vivid memory of the dance floor being pretty busy at all times. Right at the bottom of this post, you can find the photo evidence. Enjoy!
Rebecca and Amy, I can’t even express how grateful I am for having me with you on your beautiful wedding day! It was not a usual day, it was an AWESOME day and I will remember it for a very long time!!
